Ahuriri - Fine Art Print
The Ahuriri River and surrounding mountains blanketed in snow.
This photo was taken in June 2023. We had been watching the weather closely and it was anticipated to snow down to ground level, so we packed the trucks and ventured through the Lindis Pass before it closed with the storm. Myself and some good friends camped at the hut, it rained all day and at 3pm the snow started. It snowed for hours while we were bunkering down in the hut next to the fire. Come morning, the clouds had cleared and the sun came out to shine down on an utterly breathtaking landscape.
