This photo was taken in July 2023 on a mid-week winter roady. The first time I ever visited the South Island back in 2018, Mt Cook was the first place I went. I was on a photography workshop tour and spent 5 days learning the ins and outs of landscape photography. To this day, this place still holds a special place in my heart and is somewhere that amazes me every single time I visit. The iconic glacial lake with Mt Cook sitting pretty behind it.
